Credit points for CPSA-A certification

The advanced training program deepens your knowledge in the competence areas of methodology, technology and communication. In various modules you can collect the 70 credit points required for the Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Advanced Level (CPSA-A®) examination. Certification at Advanced Level requires prior completion of the Foundation Level. Even for software architects who do not strive for certification, all Advanced Level modules are of great value for daily work.

Communicate and effectively document architecture according to target groups.

The importance of good architecture documentation in a new IT project is often underrated. The documentation of the software architecture plays a significant role in ensuring that developments and changes during the course of the project remain traceable, and also supports communication, both within the project team and with customers and partners. This also makes the design of the software system easier to manage.

Keeping an overview even in complex projects.

For this reason, the iSAQB has created a separate training course dedicated to the topic of architecture documentation. During this course you learn how to document software architectures effectively and how to evaluate and communicate them to different target groups. In addition to technical aspects, the training also covers the important organisational and social factors associated with architecture documentation.

Your Trainer

Sönke Schwenk

For more than 15 years Sönke Schwenk has been supporting teams and software projects in industry and trade in the design and implementation of software architectures and therefore knows: software architecture must fit like a good pair of shoes. His heart beats clearly for agility, clean code and software craftsmanship. Over the years, he has worked on projects such as merchandise management systems, test systems and software for medical devices. His current focus: Renovation of software systems and practical, agile living of software architecture in teams.

Fabian Eidner

Fabian Eidner is an IT architect and consultant whose mission is to develop well documented, clearly structured, easy to maintain, cost efficient and easily extensible (web) software. With over 10 years of professional and project experience with large corporations, he offers consulting and support services in SAP as well as non-SAP applications in the web, mobile and desktop area. He also passes on this know-how as a trainer.

Axel Feix

Axel Feix has many years of project experience as an analyst and software architect and supports customers as a senior consultant and trainer in the introduction and implementation of software engineering, requirements engineering, software architecture management and architecture documentation. It is important to him that from a selection of many tools a tailor-made tool with a suitable method catalogue is created in order to achieve maximum benefit in the long term. He is interested in everything that flies, everything that can be visualized and played, and everything that holds the world together.

Mahbouba Gharbi

As a software architect, coach and trainer, Mahbouba Gharbi has been advising major clients on the planning and implementation of demanding IT projects for over 20 years. She deals with the conception and implementation of medium to large software systems. In addition to her work as managing director and chief architect of ITech Progress, she is co-founder and chairwoman of the board of iSAQB e.V. and actively participates in designing curricula and exams.
